The pool stands at the International sports village among other sports facilities originally built as a training facilitator for the London 2012 Olympics. This swimming pool was built at an amazing 32 million pounds and stands today as in international standard swimming pool not only in name but also by deed. This particular pool has set a standard by which all pool in the UK should be built.
During its opening in 2008, the swimming pool attracted a large number of people that is though to be in the region of 3 million. As the pool has been building in international standards, the pool consists of 50 metres of 10 lanes. For the less serious swimmers, they are able to use the only the half the lengths. The pool conducts swimming lesions for children. The spectator area can accommodate a 1000 people at a time.
