Wenzel Beartooth Family Dome Tent Review

By Adam Girnet

The Wenzel Beartooth family dome tent is the smaller family tent of their range. It appears to be aimed at the budget end of the market and while it has a few excellent features, a lack of quality components seems to lead to problems for users.

For those wanting an occasional use tent or looking for an inexpensive test run, it could be a reasonable choice but anyone even moderately serious about camping would want to consider others in the range.

The Wenzel Beartooth family dome tent is an unusual 5 sided shape comprised of a rectangular front section and triangular rear section.

Surprisingly, considering the size, you really need 2 adults to put this tent up.

The strange shape makes it difficult to pack away again so take special note as you unfold it for the first time.

The layout of the Wenzel Beartooth family dome tent is a single room but due to the odd shape it can be difficult to utilize the space effectively.

Two air beds will fit but they have to sit at the front by the door meaning you have to step over them to reach the rear storage area.

It comes with shock corded fiberglass poles but they seem to be poor quality and are under a lot of tension resulting in splitting problems for some users.

The ventilation system designed into the shape of the Wenzel Beartooth family dome tent is superb. You get good airflow so the tent never gets stuffy even when there is no breeze.

It has a removable rain fly which allows you to enjoy full daylight and airflow when you want it. If the weather changes it is easy and quick to fit.

Now let's consider the best and worst points of the Wenzel Beartooth family dome tent as well as it's dimensions, facts and figures. We also have a full round up of user reviews and opinions.
