Ballet Bar and Fitness

By Paul Kramer

There are some basic moves in ballet that should be known by every ballet dancer. These ballet moves form the building blocks of exercises and steps that are taught later on.

Just like piano it would create strong emotions in which could come up with unnatural movements and great performance. Without ballet equipments, these things wouldn't be possible.

Moreover, you can perform all the practices at anytime you prefer. This bar allows you integrating different movement-features along with the normal and simple movements.

If you are planning to put up a ballet studio for ballet classes or just a small ballet studio at your home, you need to have a ballet bar. It is one of the most important equipment in ballet.

In the third position you have to cross your legs and heels. Keep in mind that one heel should be slightly ahead of the other. You will have to keep your back and shoulders straight. One hand should be out stretched and the other comes in front of you to make half an oval.

The fourth position has two parts - open and closed. In the open fourth position you have to keep your legs and feet out turned. The heels are in line with one ahead of the other.

They can be in fixed form or adjustable. Third, you have to consider as well the materials used like aluminum and wood. Aluminum is more expensive than wood. Fourth, you have to consider the area of your ballet studio.

In the closed fourth position you have to keep your hands just like you did in the open fourth. All that is different is the position of your feet. Here the feet are one in front of the other and both the legs and feet are very sharply out turned.
